Steps involved in breast lift surgery
Surgeons can do a breast lift through various incision guides and techniques considering breast size and shape, the position of expanded areolas, degree of sagging of breasts and quality and elasticity of the skin present. The steps followed are:
Anesthesia: Anesthesia is for your comfort during the surgical procedure. The options include intravenous sedation and general anesthesia.
Incision placement: Once the treatment area is numb, incisions will remove the tissue and skin. Plastic surgeons use various types of incisions to perform the procedure. The type of incision used will depend on the patient’s existing breast tissue, the extent of excess skin to be eliminated, and individual goals.
Inserting and placing the breast implant: In this process, the excess skin is removed: and then the breast implant is generally placed under the pectoral muscle ( a submuscular placement) or directly behind the breast tissue, over the pectoral muscle ( a sub-glandular placement). The method of insertion depends on the type of transplant, desired result and body type.
Closing the Incisions: Once the final reshaping is done, the encompassing skin is tightened, and the incision is closed with either traditional sutures, which will have to be removed in a week or ten days, or with dissolvable sutures, which the body will absorb in about the same time. Sutures are layered deep within the breast tissue to create and support the newly shaped breasts.
Results: The surgery shows quick results; you have to wear a supportive bra and apply bandages to heal the incision spot and speedy recovery. Finally, you will have your desired outcome.
